Made from kaolin clay and gentle surfactants, my Gentle Clay Facial Cleaning Bars create a lovely, rich lather! Unlike soap bars, these are formulated to have the perfect pH for your face. I handpress these, so they have a rustic look. Plus, I leave these unscented. Through testing, I found that these bars last about 4-6 months with daily usage.
The ingredient names may sound foreign to you, so here's some helpful info...
Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (SCI) is a gentle surfactant derived from coconut oil and is considered natural.
Corn starch can help reduce oily/greasy skin feel and often feels silky.
Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside is made from vegetable derived fatty acids and glucose. It is gentle on the skin and adds lots of lather to products.
Cocamidopropyl Betaine is made from coconut oil, is gentle, and helps stabilize lather.
Kaolin Clay is a smooth, fine clay that's great for absorbing oil without being drying.
Jojoba Oil resembles our skin’s sebum, making it wonderfully moisturizing.
Since these bars will come in contact with water daily, I have included a broad-spectrum preservative. This protects against the growth of bacteria, yeast, and fungus.
